Trust & safety
You're letting someone into your parents' home. We take that seriously.
Here is exactly who we send, how they're prepared, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Vetting
How a Care Manager becomes a Care Manager
Six stages, and no shortcuts for any of them.
1. Identity verification
Government photo ID, permanent and current address, and two personal references — all confirmed before an interview is scheduled.
2. Police background check
A criminal record check through an accredited verification partner. Anyone with a relevant offence is not onboarded.
3. In-person interview
A structured conversation about patience, judgement and how they'd handle difficult moments. Roughly one in six applicants moves forward.
4. 80 hours of training
Elder care basics, mobility and fall prevention, first aid and CPR, dementia sensitivity, dignity and consent, and how to communicate with worried families.
5. Supervised first month
Early visits are shadowed or reviewed by a senior Care Manager, with feedback after every assignment.
6. Ongoing review
Quarterly refresher training, re-verification every year, and a rating after each visit. Consistently low ratings end the association.
Emergencies
What happens when you call the emergency line
- 1A trained responder answers — 24 hours a day, every day. Never a recorded menu.
- 2They assess the situation and stay on the line with whoever called.
- 3The nearest available Care Manager is dispatched to the home immediately.
- 4If needed, an ambulance is arranged and a hospital is alerted that you're coming.
- 5The family's registered contacts are called — not messaged — while help is on the way.
- 6A Care Manager stays with your parent at the hospital until family arrives or they're safely home.
- 7You receive a written account of everything that happened, the same day.
Privacy
Your family's information stays your family's
Written plainly, because privacy policies usually aren't.
We collect only what a visit needs
Name, address, phone, health details you choose to share, and the record of services booked. Nothing else.
We never sell your data
Not to insurers, not to pharmacies, not to advertisers. There is no version of Saath where this changes.
Access is limited
A Care Manager sees only what they need for the visit in front of them, and only while it's scheduled.
Stored securely, deletable on request
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Ask us to delete your records and we will, within 30 days.
Questions about any of this? Write to privacy@saath.care.
Still have a question you'd want answered?
Ask it before you commit to anything. We'd rather have the conversation early.
